Overview
KEFI stands beside people living with cancer, the people who care for them and those who have lost someone. Twelve conferences a year, 120 speakers, 3,000 attendees and twelve ongoing support groups. The work was already large. Its communication didn't show it yet.
Challenge
There was no shared identity, no tone of voice and no content strategy, so every post started from zero. And the audience is never just one: a patient after a diagnosis, a carer looking for practical help, a family that has just lost someone. Each had to trust the same voice, for a different reason.
Process
We started by listening. We studied everything KEFI had published and its history, mapped who it speaks to, and looked at how cancer organisations across Europe and the US earn trust. The ones that do share three things: credibility through expertise, community through stories, and clarity about the next step.
That became the direction. A voice that is warm but credible, expert but human. Never clinical, never pitying.
Five pillars turn strategy into content: medical education, patient support, prevention, events and advocacy. A visual system keeps every channel recognisable. A monthly editorial plan, and coaching for KEFI's own team, keep it consistent. The same structure now shapes the information architecture of the new website.
Outcome
Same page, same period, one year apart. More people saw KEFI, more of them stayed, and more of them responded.
No ads. Just direction.
